Once an insurer is selected, consumers can proceed to secure the contact information from this website. Instructions are provided below on how to contact an insurer.

HOW TO CONTACT AN INSURANCE COMPANY

1. After selecting the insurer of your choice, write down the insurer's 6-digit COMPANY CODE number.

2. At the top of the web screen, click "File" and select "Close".  Your screen will return to the "Market Assistance Program" page.

3. Click on the "SEARCH FOR COMPANIES" link below

4. When the company licensing search screen appears, type in the 6-digit South Carolina COMPANY CODE.

5. Next, scroll down the page and click the SEARCH button. The Company "LICENSING SEARCH RESULT" screen will appear. Next click on the COMPANY'S NAME, and the company's address and telephone number will appear. Consumers can then move the curser to the right side of the screen and click "View Licensed/Appointed Producers by City".  Consumer complaints can also be viewed.
